Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Colorful Winter Flowers

Stauffers of Kissel Hill Garden Centers have Valentine’s Day cards, home accents and themed ribbons to help show how much you care this holiday, but our most spectacular gift ideas are in the greenhouse. Colorful winter blooming flowers are a great gift idea for any loved one. Here are some of our favorites:

Primrose – Add a splash of spring color to tabletops and windows. Primrose is vibrant flower that provides amazing jewel tones in spring colored pots with loads of flowers and bright colors the burst forth through summer.

 

Mini Roses – This small compact plant features miniature rose blooms in a variety of colors. It can be kept indoors or outdoors and are winter hardy.

 

Long Blooming Cyclamen – This colorful bloom has long lasting flowers with colors that range from lovely pure white through all shades of pink, lavender, purple, red and dark wine.

 

Orchids – Add something exotic to your loved ones home with a richly colored Orchid. Their blooms can last from weeks to months and if you care for it properly, it can last a lifetime.

 

Jasmine – This sweet scented shrub is a nice addition to any landscape. Jasmine Polyanthum is a climbing shrub that blooms with white, yellow or pink flowers in spring and summer. The flowers have a sweet, heady scent and its strong vines can be wound around a support.
