2011 Plant Prescription for Diagnosis: Euonymus Scale
Prescription: Control during the early crawler life stage. Crawlers are most
abundant mid to late May through June and again in late July through September. Use 2 more sprays, 7 – 10 days apart. Prune and destroy heavily infested twigs and branches. Control with the following:
Horticultural oil (All Seasons or Volck Oil)
Bayer 3-in-1 Insect, Disease, & Mite Control
Bonide Tree & Shrub Insect Control
This is an armored scale so Imidacloprid in the soil will suppress but not eliminate.
Mix according to label directions and apply only the recommended dosage. Apply material only to plants specified on the label.
