Giselle Shares With You…
My first year at Stauffers, I worked in the front end in Cashier Services, but transferred to Grocery because I have a passion for organic foods, and love sharing knowledge about those items. And Stauffers does a fantastic job at promoting and marketing the organic food lines.
I look forward to coming to work. I love my customers. Not to sound corny, but I am genuinely concerned for their well-being. And I love my coworkers. I try to do whatever I can to help them, because I know they would do the same for me.
I love the outside-the-box approach that Stauffers takes to customer service. It comes very naturally to them, and it’s something they care deeply about. I have gotten into the habit of carrying recipes in my pocket when I am at work, so I can share some healthy meal ideas and ways to incorporate healthy foods into your lifestyle. It is something I am passionate about, and I like to share that with my customers.
I recall a customer whose son had just been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. This mother knew nothing about the disease, having not encountered it before, and was naturally quite upset and stressed about what kinds of foods she needs. I brought some information in for her from home, and helped her find products that would fit her son’s new diet. She comes back regularly, and asks for me every time. It feels good.
The key to this job is just to be yourself. Be friendly, encourage each other. Every day is a learning experience.
