John Welsh, Meat Manager, Rohrerstown Road,  Employee since 1981

John started his career with Stauffers in 1981 at our original Lititz store on Kissel Hill, prepping and cutting meat.  Today, John is the Meat Manager for our newly-opened Rohrerstown Road Supermarket.  He has had the opportunity to watch SKH grow from a single farmers market to a strong, diverse company that services multiple counties.

Stauffers looks out for their employees, and have always been very fair to me and my employees.  They have high expectations and expect results, but they notice and reward hard work.  You will advance if you work hard.

The favorite part of my job is connecting with the public.  I like turning complaints into a positive.  Try to connect with the customer.  It is an opportunity to build relationships and trust.

Stauffers does a lot of community events and service initiatives, which is great.  They promote wholesome values, which is great to be a part of.  It comes down to treating others the way you want to be treated.  You need to find out who you are.  If you look out for others, someone will look out for you.
