PASTA AND MEATBALLS
Pasta baked with delicious homemade meatballs, onions, peppers and cheese - a perennial cold weather favorite!
Ingredients:
•1 - 1 lb. Box San Giorgio Pasta, Vermicelli
•1 - Jar Del Grasso Spaghetti Sauce, Meatless
•1 - red onion (cut up)
•2 - peppers (cut in strips)
•1 - can Mushrooms, drained
•1 - bag Maggio Fancy Shredded Cheese, Italian
•1 - 1 pound package of ground sirloin
•2 - cups 4C Bread Crumbs, Flavored
•2 - eggs
•4 - Tbsp. Olive Oil
While cooking pasta, following package directions, place ground sirloin, bread crumbs, eggs and 1/2 bag shredded cheese in a bowl. Mix well, and roll into small meatballs.
Pour olive oil into a skillet and cook the meatballs, 5 minutes per side.
Place the cooked pasta into a Pyrex dish, and add sauce, meatballs, onions, peppers and mushrooms. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake 25 minutes at 375 degrees. Make two and freeze one for a hectic evening! The meatballs that are extra are great as sandwiches, served with a salad, for another evening meal.
