You probably visit the meat department every time you go to the grocery store, but have you ever talked to one of our in-store butchers? Meet our team of In-Store Butchers at Stauffers. While many other grocery stores are getting away from having experienced in-store butchers, Stauffers takes pride in offering you this advantage where they will be happy to share with you the inside scoop on freezing, preparing and shopping for meat. If you don’t know how to trim the fat off a chuck eye roast or de-bone a leg of lamb, your recipe will not turn out as it should. The good news is that you can head to the meat counter and have your order trimmed and portioned to your preference or as specified in the recipe whether it’s de-bone, pound it out, butterfly, whatever you want…and it’s a FREE service! Bottom line is that our butchers are there to do anything that you can’t get from the regular self-service case.
Our butchers love to talk, shop and troubleshoot to the benefit of their customers. We enjoy helping people, and seeing people expand their culinary horizons and be happy with what they’ve bought from us. Our butchers can give suggestions based on specific recipes (feel free to bring it along to the store), prep recommendations for cuts you’re not familiar with and even advise you on how much to purchase for your next 10-person dinner party. We’re here not only to perform the actual service of cutting meat for you, but we’re also there to be an resource for you.
